The change in ownership marks a significant step toward continued longevity for the well-established repair shop, ensuring ongoing high-quality service and greater access to advanced repair technologies for the Terrace community.
Former owner, Mike Praticante, started at the shop in 1988, sweeping floors. Following completion of his certifications, Mike spent the next 18 years working as a technician before moving into management in 2006.
In 2010 Mike was offered a partnership with Tony Macedo, Azorcan Collision’s owner at the time which would eventuate to sole ownership in 2022.
Mike’s decision to sell was not easy. Mike says “Tony built an exceptional shop and established a very positive culture among the staff. I was fortunate to have inherited a thriving business however, the industry is changing rapidly, and I am ready to slow things down.”
“Lift was the right fit. I am confident Lift is positioned to support the growing needs of the shop, while maintaining the same high-quality repairs,” Mike says.
“We also have a great team here, one that I take great pride in, and one of the advantages of joining Lift Auto Group is the additional day-to-day support the team will receive”.
After careful consideration, Mike felt confident that Lift would continue to uphold the shop’s high standards and even enhance its offerings. While Mike had offers from other buyers, Lift seemed like the best match not just for him and his team, but for the long-term success of the autobody shop.
Ryan Praticante, Mike’s son, is staying on as Location Manager. Ryan started working at the shop when he was 14 years old and has a deep commitment to the shop’s success.
Ryan says, “I have watched the shop evolve throughout the last 11 years and I am excited to play a key role in ensuring the shop reaches new heights of success under the ownership of Lift.”
The shop’s staff, known for their expertise and customer service, has continued to serve the community without interruption.
