CSN & the CAC put the FUN in fundraising with family car show
It may have been an overcast day for the 2023 edition of the CSN Collision Centres Father’s Day Car Show at City Park Kelowna, but the outcome of the day was far from gloomy.
The CSN Collision Centres Father’s Day Car Show is a free family event that aims to bring families and auto enthusiasts together for a day of fun celebrating fatherhood and fancy cars while supporting the Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna (CAC).
Knowing that all proceeds from the show are donated to the CAC, a little rain did not dampen the community spirit. Over 10,000 people poured in to admire approximately 300 vehicles including muscle cars, customs, rat rods and classics.
Leading up to the event each year, the CAC hosts a raffle to give away a “modern muscle” car.
The funds raised from raffle ticket sales go directly to the organization and the winner is announced at the car show. This year’s prize car, a 2012 Dodge Challenger SXT, was donated by Lift Auto Group, owner/operator of the CSN Collision Centres that host the car show.
The CSN Father’s Day Car Show is a favourite on the Kelowna community calendar that also offers vehicle-related businesses and local artisans an opportunity to showcase their wares. On standby was a slew of food trucks ready to refuel the spectators’ idling engines, while giant inflatables and face painting kept the kids entertained and nobody could miss all of the CSN blue balloons floating around.
