Making a Dream Come True

On July 24th, 2024, Lift Auto Group [Lift] had the privilege of attending a truly inspiring event at CSN Harold’s in Edmonton. The community gathered to unveil the refurbished truck of 18-year-old Carter Laframboise, a recent graduate of Sturgeon Composite High School who lives with cystic fibrosis. Despite these challenges, Carter’s spirit remains undeterred.

Moved by the positive impact Make-A-Wish continues to have on the lives of wish kids like Carter, Lift joined forces with CSN Douglas Repair Group to support Make-A-Wish, Northern Alberta in its efforts to grant Carter’s wish to refurbish his beloved truck, a 2006 GMC Sierra.

In addition to covering a portion of the labour, Lift worked with industry partners to source the parts and materials needed for the restoration.

Organizations including OK Tire Canada, South Fort Chevrolet, APT Auto Parts, The Wheel Group, SG Auto, LKQ Corporation, Color Compass Corporation, BASF, NAPA Auto Parts, Rodder Auto Finishing, Rodway Auto Parts and Keystone Automotive were all pivotal in making this dream a reality for Carter. This collaborative effort underscores the power of community engagement and highlights the transformative impact that businesses can have when they join forces to address pressing social issues.

Koos Reineking, Vice President at Lift Auto Group expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported the project, “The solidarity shown by these companies embodies the community spirit and compassion that helps Make-A-Wish continue making dreams come true”.

“Witnessing Make-A-Wish granting a wish, was a truly heart-warming experience”.

Lift extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this project a success and looks forward to future collaborations with all those involved.

Together, we can continue to make dreams come true and bring hope to those who need it most.
