MCR Advanced Collision Center – Stratford [MCR], a modern, well-established and reputable collision centre in Stratford, ON has undergone a change in ownership.
Proud new owner Lift Auto Group [Lift] is committed to delivering the exceptional service that MCR is known for, and customers can still expect the same best-in-class experience from the shop they have come to trust for collision repair.
The change in ownership marks a significant step toward continued longevity for the well-established repair shop, ensuring ongoing high-quality service and even greater access to advanced repair technologies for Stratford.
Newly named CSN Stratford, the shop owes much of its success to former owner Jeff McKone’s long family history in the industry.
For 50 years, Jeff has been involved in collision repair. At 13 years old, Jeff started working on the floor at his father’s shop and now Jeff’s own son, Kory, is a partner in the family business.
Jeff focused on keeping a family-like atmosphere when choosing buyers. He admired the close relationship between Lift’s CEO, Mark Reineking, and his father, Koos Reineking, Vice President at Lift.
“We have a dream team and under Lift’s ownership the shop will still feel like a family owned and operated business” says Jeff.
“I am proud of the team we have built here. Knowing the team will remain the same despite the change in ownership is comforting to know” continues Jeff.
After careful consideration, Jeff felt confident that Lift would continue to uphold the shop’s high standards and even enhance its offerings. Lift’s presence in the industry seemed like the best match not just for him and his team, but for the long-term success of the collision repair facility.
“I decided now was the time to sell the shop. It is doing well and to ensure its future success, the location had to join a collective with a bigger, stronger voice in the industry” says Jeff.
“One of the advantages of joining Lift Auto Group is the additional day-to-day support the team will receive”.
Larry Dubuque, CSN Stratford’s location manager, has been with MCR for over 25 years and began his employment at MCR’s Mitchell location.
When Jeff launched the Stratford shop, Larry was called upon to lend his expertise in repairs and estimates. Through hard work and dedication, Larry quickly evolved into his current management role.
Larry acknowledges the learning curve ahead but remains optimistic, saying “The transition process has been positive. There is a lot to learn, new technology and new processes, but there is always someone from Lift who can help, so I am confident we will get there.”
Joining Lift Auto Group, a member of the CSN Collision network, means having access to additional resources and support from a network of professionals who are industry leaders and experts in their field.
New equipment and products have made its way into the shop and Larry shares “Our painter is thrilled with the new paint. He is finding it great to work with”.
The shop’s staff, known for their expertise and customer service, have continued to serve the community without interruption.

Reflecting on the transition, Jeff expressed optimism for the shop’s future under Lift Auto Group’s guidance.
“We’ve made the right decision for the shop, our employees, and the community. I’m looking forward to seeing how CSN Stratford grows from here,” he says.
