Lift Auto Group Acquires Abougoush Collision
KELOWNA, JULY 2022 – Lift Auto Group (“Lift” or the “Company”) continues its rapid expansion in the Canadian collision repair industry following its most recent acquisition of Abougoush Collision, a collective of five premier collision repair shops located throughout the BC Interior. Previously owned by Methal Abougoush, Abougoush Collision was a very successful and long-standing licensee that conducted business as Boyd’s Autobody and Glass.
With a prominent 20-year history in the Okanagan, Abougoush Collision has created very strong ties in the local community and is supported by a loyal customer base. Abougoush Collision’s customers have come to rely upon the exceptional service they receive from the familiar faces they know and trust.
“It has been an honor to serve this great community over the years and I am thankful for the support they have given me.” Methal says.
The acquisition of Abougoush Collision increases Lift’s portfolio of high-quality collision repair shops to 29, including nine in the BC Interior, all of which will be branded as CSN Collision Centres. Both Lift and CSN are dedicated to ensuring that the transition of Abougoush Collision goes as smoothly as possible so that customers continue to receive the same great first-class experience they have come to know and expect over the years.
Owned and operated in Kelowna, BC, Lift is a leader in the Canadian collision repair industry. “For decades, Abougoush Collision has been a hallmark of collision repair in the Okanagan, a result of the hard work and dedication of its former owner, Methal Abougoush, and his team.” says Lift Auto Group, President & CEO. Mark Reineking. “The addition of these locations furthers our goal of being the leading collision repair provider in Canada and aligns with Lift’s vision of being at the forefront of the industry through understanding its customers, investing in its people, and embracing technology to deliver a best-in-class experience.”
Former owner, Methal Abougoush is passionate about the community in which he lives and works, having actively organized and contributed to numerous projects throughout the Okanagan including the famous Boyd’s Autobody Father’s Day Charity Car Show held annually at City Park in Kelowna. Lift is committed to continuing the positive legacy created by Methal and will remain an active contributor to enhancing the local community. Over the years, Lift’s CSN locations throughout the Okanagan have been involved in local initiatives including the Food for Thought Backpack Program, the Cops for Kids Charitable Foundation and sponsorship for multiple local sporting teams and associations.
The newly acquired shops will continue to operate with the same great team assembled by Methal Abougoush, as well as the same unwavering commitment to providing repair solutions for the evolving needs of our customers and their vehicles. While some change is inevitable, Lift aims to ensure that any change is positive. Becoming a member of the Lift family means having access to additional resources and support from a network of professionals who are industry leaders and experts in their field. Part of those resources comes from the partnership that Lift has with the CSN Collision Centres network.
Abougoush Collision has been a staple in the community, with a mission to grow through quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Methal is confident that Lift has the resources to continue that growth. “I am happy to have found a company like Lift Auto Group that I can transfer my team too and that is aligned with my business principles and practices.” he says.
