Golf Tournaments Drive Big Support for Local Charities
With golf tournaments in full swing in the Okanagan, Lift Auto Group & CSN Collision Centre’s are teeing off to support some very worthy causes.
Chicks With Sticks and the Harvest Ladies 2-Ball Tournament are two of the Okanagan’s major charity golf tournaments that attract amateur golfers from across BC. Both tournaments are held annually, bringing players and businesses together to raise funds for local organizations that support the community.
Showcasing its BC Interior locations, CSN was onsite at both events, hosting a “Closest-to the-Pin” contest awarding an Odyssey Putter to the winner.
Played at Black Mountain Golf Club in Kelowna, BC, Chicks With Sticks aims to raise funds for the Foundry, Kelowna, a wellness centre where young people and their families can find hope, help and support, when they need it.
The tournament which has been an annual event for the past 6 years has raised over $150,000 to date. This year, the event raised over $25,000 with 192 ladies in attendance.
The Harvest Ladies 2-Ball Tournament is played at the Harvest Golf & Country Club and welcomes 120 players each year. Proceeds from the event go directly to Mamas for Mamas, a national charitable organization that supports mothers and caregivers in crisis by providing ongoing support to individuals and families facing various poverty-related struggles.
Lift recognizes the positive impact these events have on the community and encourages everyone to get involved. Fortunately, golf season is not over yet, and these are not the last of the major tournaments this year! The 2022 Birdies, Bogies and Beer tournament returns to Black Mountain Golf Club in September and with no shortage of golf enthusiasts amongst its employees, Lift is looking forward to waving the CSN banner on September 24th.
