Car Show Puts the Fun in Fundraising
Putting the fun into fundraising, the CSN Collision Father’s Day Car Show returned to Kelowna City Park on June 16th, 2024.
Hosted by Lift Auto Group (“Lift”), a member of the CSN Collision network, the event is an opportunity to bring automotive enthusiasts and families together to raise funds for the Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, Kelowna (“CYAC”).
Serving the communities of Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country and Peachland, the CYAC is a non-profit organization, designed to bring a collective community response to protecting children from abuse.
Knowing that all proceeds from the show go to the CYAC, the community rallied around Lift and its valued partners to support this important event.
More than 10,000 people poured into the park to take a peek at a parade of classic cars, hot rods, sporty speedsters and one-of-a-kind vehicles.
In addition to an array of show-stopping vehicles, the show had something for everyone.
For the discerning foodies, a variety of food trucks were serving up delectable bites, shoppers could indulge in products and wares from local vendors and kids were kept occupied by bouncy castles and activities in the kid’s zone.
The cornerstone of the show, however, is always the CYAC raffle car. This year’s prize car, a Lexus IS 300 was proudly on display and for the first time, spectators could purchase tickets for the raffle at the car show.
Previously, ticket sales for the CYAC’s annual prize car raffle ceased before the event with the winner announced live on stage at the show. This year, however, the CYAC has extended ticket sales beyond the car show to maximize fundraising efforts and give the public more opportunities to purchase tickets.
The raffle which has currently raised $27,625 in ticket sales continues to climb daily. With more in-person sales scheduled throughout the Okanagan, including an appearance at the Kelowna Actors Studio, there is plenty of time to secure tickets before the draw in August.
“The services CYAC offers are invaluable to so many people. We are thrilled to offer continued support to Ginny, and the team at the CYAC” says Mark Reineking, CEO, of Lift Auto Group.
“Coinciding the car show with the CYAC raffle emphasizes our primary focus which is to raise funds for this important community resource. This is a collective effort, and we are grateful to our partners for sponsoring the event and our employees who volunteer their time to help make all of this possible. It takes a village, and we are proud to be part of a community that works together to ensure the well-being of everyone within it.”
