First-rate Red Deer Collision Shops Under New Ownership

The proud new owner, Lift Auto Group (Lift), is committed to delivering the exceptional service all four shops are known for, and customers can still expect the same best-in-class experience from the locations they have come to trust for collision repair.

Raised on a working farm, former owner Scott Cruickshank developed a strong work ethic early in life – laying the foundation for a successful career spanning more than 15 years in the collision repair industry.

When city annexation affected the family farm, Scott’s father transitioned into business ownership by purchasing a small sandblasting operation. After completing school, Scott joined the business and gradually expanded its services, ultimately transforming it into a full-service autobody repair shop.

After decades of building a trusted reputation in the community, Scott made the difficult decision to transition to new ownership.

“After careful consideration, I decided now was the right time to sell the shop,” says Scott. “It is doing well, and to ensure its future success, the location needed to become part of a larger collective with a stronger voice in the industry.”

Scott felt confident that Lift Auto Group would continue to uphold the shop’s high standards while also enhancing its capabilities. Lift’s strong presence in the industry, coupled with its focus on innovation and excellence, made it the ideal match for Scott, his team, and the future of the business.

“The collision repair industry is evolving rapidly, and staying competitive requires more than just skill – it takes significant financial and operational investment. That’s why I chose Lift. They have the resources, leadership, and vision to support long-term success while continuing to deliver the high-quality service our customers expect”.

Newly appointed Regional Manager, and long-term team member of the CSN Red Deer locations, Shaun Ward, says “We have a great team here, one that I take great pride in”.

“One of the advantages of joining Lift Auto Group is the additional day-to-day support the team will receive”.

Becoming a member of Lift Auto Group means having access to additional resources and support from a network of professionals who are industry leaders and experts in their field.

With the change in ownership, CSN Red Deer, CSN Innisfail, and CSN Auto Tech will retain their names and CSN membership. However, Caliber Paint & Body will undergo a name change to CSN Caliber, aligning with its counterparts by joining the CSN network.

“Under Lift, our entire team looks forward to the resources that will support them, both in their day-to-day work as well as their careers.” Shaun continues “These shops have built a reputation for a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

The CSN Collision network is known for its high standards and customer-centric approach, reinforcing our dedication to delivering the best in collision repair services.”

Shaun is a long-standing employee, having worked with the CSN Red Deer group for more than a decade. Initially performing estimates and detailing vehicles before moving into senior management positions, Shaun remarks, “I have watched the shops evolve throughout my time here and I am excited to play a key role in ensuring the shops reach new heights of success under the ownership of Lift.”

The shops’ staff, known for their expertise and focus on customer service, have continued to serve the community without interruption.

Scott shared that the transition has been seamless. After speaking with Lift’s executive team, he feels reassured by their respectful and positive approach, that he has made the right decision for the future of the business.
