We are extremely grateful for the community organizations working tirelessly to support those affected by the Jasper wildfires, however, resources are limited and there is no telling how long these resources will be required.  Post-fire, people affected by this event will need continued support to re-establish their lives and get back on the road to recovery.

In an attempt to help, Lift has launched an initiative to encourage donations from local businesses in Hinton, Edmonton, and Calgary to assist with recovery efforts for those who will face the life-changing outcome of these fires. For every dollar donated, Lift is going to match it up to $20,000 until Aug 30, 2024.

The initiative which has been launched on social media will support these causes:

• The Canadian Red Cross:
  Donate to the 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal (redcross.ca) (matched by the government of Canada and the government of Alberta)

• Edmonton Community Foundation’s “Northern Alberta Resiliency Fund”:
